Registration Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your attendance at and participation at Great International Developer Summit (GIDS), Sydney and Melbourne (hereinafter referred to as Great International Developer Summit (GIDS), Australia). By completing the registration you are warranting that you are aware of these terms and that you have accepted these terms. Tickets are subject to availability and may close earlier than the posted deadline, as determined at the organiser's sole discretion.

  • The Organiser: Great International Developer Summit (GIDS), Australia, is a wholly-owned brand of Wurreka Pty Ltd., ABN No: 48 634 055 842, located at 1198 Toorak Road, Camberwell, VIC 3124, Australia. In these terms, any reference to "Great International Developer Summit (GIDS), Sydney and Melbourne", "Great International Developer Summit (GIDS), Australia)", "GIDS", "GIDS AU", "we" or "us" also includes and will read as reference to Wurreka Pty Ltd.
  • Registration Confirmation: to register for the event, you must complete the registration process and pay the registration fee. Once your payment is received, you will receive your registration confirmation by email. Please ensure your valid email is entered correctly on the registration form. Be sure to check your junk email box in case any of your email(s) are caught by spam filters. By registering and accepting any discounts, gifts, or items of value related to the event (including free or discounted attendance), you certify that you are able to do so in compliance with applicable laws and the internal rules of your organisation.
  • Registrant Information: all GIDS attendees must be registered on the registration site. All information entered into the registration form must be correct and accurate to the best of your knowledge. All information must be entered in English. The organiser is not liable for any errors in submission, payment, or ticket processing.
  • Communication Address: official address for all communications pertaining to the event is: Wurreka Pty Ltd., 1198 Toorak Road, Camberwell, VIC 3124, Australia. The email address to contact the organiser is inbound(at)developersummit(dot)com.
  • Payment Terms (Online): for online registrations through Credit Card, Debit Card, AMEX, PayPal, full and clear payment must be received before the deadline date in order to qualify for any discounted rates that may be on offer. Payment for Hatching Bird tickets must be received on or before 17th April 2021. Payment for all Early Bird tickets must be received on or before 04th September 2021. For all Standard tickets, payment must be received no later than midnight Friday, 16th October 2021. No payments will be accepted at the venue. Prices for each event, where applicable, are correct at the time of publication; the organiser reserves the right to change the prices at any time but such changes will not affect registrations that are already confirmed.
  • Payment Terms (Offline): payment by invoice is accepted until Friday 02nd October 2021. All invoices must be paid in full in order for attendees to receive a badge and gain access to the conference. Our invoice terms are strictly NET 7 days, meaning payment will be due 7 days from the day the invoice is issued.
  • Payment Linked Confirmation: your registration is not considered confirmed until payment has been received in full. If payment in full is not received before the dates set out for each type of available ticket, the organiser reserves the right at its sole discretion and without liability either to require payment as a condition of entry to the event or to refuse entry to the event; no refunds of any proportion of fees already paid (if any) will be made and any balance of the fees will remain due and payable where entry to an event is refused.
  • Payment Method: all payment must be made in Australian dollars. Three types of fee payment are accepted: credit card, debit card and bank transfer. You represent and warrant that you and your financial institution(s) used to fund any fees required for the event are not subject to sanctions or otherwise designated on any list of prohibited or restricted parties, or owned or controlled by such a party.
  • Cancellation: to cancel a booking for the main conference and/or workshop, please send an email to inbound(at)developersummit(dot)com. Full refund can only be provided if notice is received at least 30 days prior to the event. No-show registrations will not be refunded. Any fees incurred by cancellations of related commitments, including but not limited to travel and hotel reservations, are not the organiser's responsibility.
  • Registration Substitution: all substitution requests must be received by email [in writing] on or before Friday, 16th October 2021 to inbound(at)developersummit(dot)com. Substitutions will not be accepted after the deadline. Registration substitutions are permitted only between employees from the same company and of the same registration type. Tickets may not be sold, bartered, auctioned, or transferred in any other way and doing so may result in rendering the ticket null and void without any responsibility to the organiser.
  • Sharing Registrations: GIDS does not permit shared registrations.
  • Usage of Badges: attendees are prohibited from sharing badges/registrations. Badges are non-replaceable. GIDS is not responsible for replacement of any lost or stolen badges.
  • Corporate (Group) Registration: (1) all group registrants must be employed by the same company (2) payment for group registration must be made on a single invoice.
  • Third party & group Registration: if you are booking on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorised by that person to make the booking, and that the person has confirmed their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. You acknowledge and agree that both you and the person for whom you are making the booking will be bound by the payment and attendance terms and conditions mentioned herein. You also acknowledge and agree to provide details of the delegates in the required format as requested by the event.
  • Photo and Video Policy: participants understand and agree that they may be photographed, filmed and/or recorded at GIDS and these may be used for commercial purposes such as future conference promotions, post conference discussions and social media platforms related to the conference and its organisers. If you do NOT wish your image to be used please advise GIDS of that in advance, by email to inbound(at)developersummit(dot)com, and then make yourself known to the organisers prior to the commencement of the event. Attendees are encouraged to share their event experiences through social media. Photographs may be taken by participants within the event venue's public areas, such as lobbies and corridors and meeting rooms, provided that such activities do not disrupt the activities or movements of participants or the security provisions of that area. Attendees may take pictures within the show for purposes of company reports or internal company media materials. Filming (video, audio or any other recording) or broadcasting is not permitted. You are not permitted to take professional photographic or video equipment or wearable recording devices into the event venues. In addition, you may not use selfie sticks or similar monopods, drones, or transport devices not medically required within the event venue. In case of any doubt, please ask before taking photographs of attendees, speakers or staff.
  • Program Revision: GIDS reserves the right at any time to change the format, content, speakers, location and timing or any other aspect of the event. GIDS will not be liable for any loss or damages arising from such changes.
  • Cancellation: GIDS reserves the right at any time to postpone or cancel the event or any part of the event, and will not be liable to the attendee for any damages, costs, losses or expenses of any kind incurred or suffered as a result. If the event is cancelled or postponed, attendees will be notified in writing and will be refunded the registration fee (less Eventbrite's fee).
  • Onsite Conduct: at all event venues and event-related social events attendees are expected to help keep the event welcoming, respectful and friendly to all participants. Please refer the Code of Conduct here. Failure to comply with the GIDS code of conduct may result in removal from the event.
  • Amendment: the organiser reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, and will provide the most recent version on our website.
